1st Trip to the Park

Spring weather in January means Mika and Mochi get their first park experience.

Mochi was especially nervous about it.

Mika thought it all was great fun.

What's over there?

Pretty sure the benches had cat magnets in them. They were frequently drawn to them.

Mochi cat!

Mika contemplates going down the slide but then changes her mind.

What are you thinking about, Moch?

They both went down this slide. It must be superior to the yellow one.

Mika climbs her first tree.

And then came the Lhasa Apso (or three, actually). Mika handled it pretty well.
They even sniffed noses, despite her frizz.

She's so cute all frizzed.

Wild Bag Kitties

What's this? A wild bag kitty?!

Followed by Mika's laser eyes. Is an electric attack to follow?

No. Somehow this devolves into lazy kitty pawing/kicking/cuddles.

Not exactly the most epic of battles.

Just for fun last week I put Mochi up on the railing with my hands supporting her on either side and Matt grabbed Mika and did the same with her. We never let go of them til we put them back on the ground, since the railing is kind of slippy. Then the following day Mochi was meowing loudly upstairs, so I went up to see what was wrong.

Nothing was wrong. She'd figured out how to jump up and balance on the railing all by herself, and was so pleased with herself, she wanted everyone in the house to know and come admire her mad skills.

It wasn't long before Mika joined her. I didn't have my camera on me that first time this happened, but it's become a regular occurrence in the house now.
