Balancing Act

Just for fun last week I put Mochi up on the railing with my hands supporting her on either side and Matt grabbed Mika and did the same with her. We never let go of them til we put them back on the ground, since the railing is kind of slippy. Then the following day Mochi was meowing loudly upstairs, so I went up to see what was wrong.

Nothing was wrong. She'd figured out how to jump up and balance on the railing all by herself, and was so pleased with herself, she wanted everyone in the house to know and come admire her mad skills.

It wasn't long before Mika joined her. I didn't have my camera on me that first time this happened, but it's become a regular occurrence in the house now.

Kitty collision!

Sorry girls, not quite enough room to go around.

Mochi hopped down and let Mika have a go.
