The Brown One

It's a Mika kind of day today here at Rambunctious Rosettes.

She was sweet enough to hang out on her shorter tower in the dining room area while I took a bunch of snapshots.

I mean, I really got into her personal space.

But she's become quite the little model.

Any kind of attention is good to a Mika - even a camera in the face.

New Layout

Finally customized the blog layout. Only took me almost 1.5 years to get around to it. I made the drawing of Mika and Mochi using Illustrator.

I intend to take some pictures of the girls this weekend, but for now here's a couple shots from our last (brief) park outing.

They were both feeling lazy that day, so we didn't do a whole lot of walking or stay very long. They were in more of a stay-at-home kinda mood.

March Snow

It's been snowing like crazy in Corvallis all day, which is kind of unheard of in MARCH!

Mika kept asking us (meow!) to take her outside, so we obliged. Always the first thing she does when in the snow is leap around like a crazy cat.

Watching for her sister to emerge from the house.

"Can I help you?"

Mochi is not quite as thrilled about the snow today as Mika is.

And is also a little concerned about the umbrella I'm wielding. Juggling cat leash, umbrella, and camera in the falling snow is a feat. A third hand would have helped.

Mika wasn't terribly keen on the snow falling in her eyes. She prefers when it's just on the ground and not still coming down out of the sky.

One last look at the pretty snow....

...and the girls are ready to return to the warm house.

Too Cute

Mochi is a big fan of animal shows, which we've seen here before, though she's all grown up since then!

Particularly cat shows.

Apparently she felt she wasn't close enough to the action.

What's going to happen next?!?

I got her a seat as a compromise between floor and speaker.

She's totally enthralled.

That just about sums it up.

Spring is in the Air

The spring-like weather inspired the desire to take the girls out for a stroll.

Our usual park was looking rather dog infested, so we opted to walk in the neighborhood nearby.

It proved to be a good decision.

They are so good at walking along the sidewalk.

Even if distracted by the occasional bush or driveway.

Or some nice cushy ground cover to rest on.

New Camera = Random Pics

Happy leap year day or whatever you call it!

Finally got my own nice camera so I don't have to keep stealing my work one. Kitties weren't in the mood for pics and the sun was setting (and I'm typically rather anti-flash), but I managed to snap a couple pics of my never-sit-still girls anyway.

No idea what she's staring at.

But her face is pretty.

That's pounce face. She's watching her sister.

Scooped! I kinda like how the only thing in focus in this picture is Mika's face.
And the boy is kinda cute too. ;)

Chair Thief

Mika has a habit of stealing seats the moment someone gets up.

What a guilty little face.

Good thing she's so darn cute.

Both girls love the chair, especially when it's extended.
