Snuggly Girls

It's been a bit hot lately, so the girls haven't been quite as snuggly.

The temperature dropped today, though, and I caught them curled up together on "their" recliner.

Couldn't resist snapping a few shots.

They know how to lower the recliner themselves by throwing themselves at the backrest.

It's just an old chair from a thrift store bought while I was in college so I don't mind.
They know that it's their chair.

Apparently Mochi's getting annoyed by the paparazzo circling them while they try to relax.

Mika, however, is far too distracted by whatever is outside to notice.

Mika and Mochi Turn Two!

Today is not only World Cat Day, it's Mika and Mochi's birthday!
They turned TWO years old today.

They got extra treats and playtime, plus a trip to their favorite park, of course. The sun was going down, so my apologies if the images are a little grainier than usual.

There was exploring.

And stick chasing...

...which led to tree climbing.

There's always a bit of frizzing. (I love how racoony Mochi's tail gets sometimes.)

And Mika's favorite - some uncalled for rolling in the dirt.

Happy birthday to my favorite girls! Love you ladies much!

The Mochi Cat

Today is all about Miss Moch.

Though if you ask her, she'll tell you every day is about the Mochi cat.

"Darn right it is."

She likes to stop and smell the flowers...

(And everything else, for that matter.)

She's a pretty little thing...

And not as innocent as she looks.

Wheel Love

I meant to post these a couple months back but never did remember to until now. Mika loves her wheel and I thought it might be nice to let her show off her running skills a bit.

HDR Kitties

Been playing around with HDR this past week and thought I'd share one of Mochi that turned out pretty well.

And the two girls together, a little less saturated.

I think Mika had just been grooming, so she's looking a little rumpled. No faux hawk today though - she usually likes to go for the punk look and leave pieces sticking up all over.

The Brown One

It's a Mika kind of day today here at Rambunctious Rosettes.

She was sweet enough to hang out on her shorter tower in the dining room area while I took a bunch of snapshots.

I mean, I really got into her personal space.

But she's become quite the little model.

Any kind of attention is good to a Mika - even a camera in the face.

New Layout

Finally customized the blog layout. Only took me almost 1.5 years to get around to it. I made the drawing of Mika and Mochi using Illustrator.

I intend to take some pictures of the girls this weekend, but for now here's a couple shots from our last (brief) park outing.

They were both feeling lazy that day, so we didn't do a whole lot of walking or stay very long. They were in more of a stay-at-home kinda mood.
