Meeting Teddy

My parents came down and went out to lunch with Matt and me this weekend and afterwards we spent a bit of time back at our place. My mom's service dog Teddy was with her so we took the opportunity to introduce him to Mika and Mochi while our food digested enough to make room for dessert.

This is Teddy. He's a Labradoodle.

 Run away! Run away!

Just kidding. The girls were totally fine with him. If anything, they spent most of their time ignoring him, probably because they were so excited to be out of the house for a bit. Sniffing every inch of the yard is very important when you're a mostly indoor feline.

Of course, the animals were all smart and spent most of their outdoor time chilling in the shade, while the humans all sweated out in the sunshine talking, snapping pictures, and risking sunburns.

First Snow Day of 2012

Woke up to the world being blanketed in white.

The girls were both fascinated with watching the flakes fall.

The snowfall stopped late in the morning and we took the girls out back.

Mika almost immediately buried her face in it. What a weirdo.

Mochi and Matt are such a cute pair.

Mika decided to get a little more height.

She really wanted to jump up on top of the fence, but I wouldn't let her.

You can see what she thought about that. What a wild (and pretty!) face.

The girls stop and smell the roses before heading back into the warmth of the house.

Backyard Explorer Cats

The day was so beautiful yesterday we spent of chunk of the afternoon in the back yard.

Sniff, sniff, sniff!

The kitties appreciated that we haven't gotten around to mowing yet.

There was some good grass nomming.

A loud truck momentarily peaked their concern.

They had a good time running around playing attack the sticks.

Kitties look so pretty in the sun.
